The majority of modern charts are usually always interpreted from the 1st House progressively, as this is the House which represents everything about the person. However traditionally this is only 1/12th of the interpretation that the chart can give. This technique, called House Revolution, is used to see the entire 12/12th of the chart, to read everything that it has to say, not only about the individual but about those individuals in the life of the native. This is an invaluable resource for all beginning and advanced students looking to understand the charts functions or seeking to broaden their interpretation abilities.
The only prerequisite involved in order to learn this method is to understand the basic rulerships of the twelve Celestial Houses. For example, it is understood that the 2nd House represents material and financial affairs in the native's life. This has to be understood in order to proceed with the technique aforementioned. Once this basic rulerships have been mastered the next step is to understand the secondary rulerships of each House which will be explained with the technique.
When one naturally interprets a natal chart, they are only looking at the 1st House because this represents the native and every House progressive from the 1st tells more details of the natives life. The 2nd House from the 1st House rules the finances of the native, the 3rd from the 1st House rules the siblings of the native & etc. The technique states that in order to discover all aspects that the native's chart reveals, the reader needs to look at the secondary rulerships as well as the primary. As previously stated the primary rulership of the 3rd House(counting from the first) reveals details regarding the siblings of the native and the siblings influence in their lives as aforesaid. But if the native wanted to know the financial situation of his brother without having to cast his brothers chart, this requires the secondary rulerships. This is done by simply moving the 1st House of the native, to the 3rd House, thereby making the 3rd House the 1st House of the brother. From there the 2nd House or the brothers finances are revealed by the natives 4th house, or the brothers 2nd House. Any Planets in this placement will reveal the success or failure of the brothers ability to gather and sustain riches and wealth.
The example above illustrates the House Revolutions when interpreting the brothers life from the natives chart. By hovering over the image you can see how the Houses shift their placement to give the reader the ability to view the brothers life through the chart of the native. From this technique the reader can discover anything relating to the natives siblings, fathers, mothers, spouses, and enemies lives through the chart of the native. If you want to know your spouses finances (to see whether you will inherit a lot from them), following the Revolution of the Houses, you would look to the 8th House as this is the 2nd House of the wife or the 7th House. The 8th House is ironically seen in Traditional Astrology as the House of dowry or inheritance through the wife! This is no coincidence. In fact many other House rulerships come from this secondary rulerships.
With this technique the interpretation possibilities are quite endless and limitless. The Astrologer can tell the native every single aspect of his life which has never before been touched on by Mmodern Astrology, nor can it be used as effectively in modern Astology. This technique opens up many exciting doors in Natal interpretation. There are literally endless combinations and significations that can be drawn from House Revolutions and it makes every aspect of the Natives life open for interpretation.
Below are listed an example of how to interpret the 3rd House progression in order to discover details about the siblings of the native and every aspect of their siblings life and what they represent. The original House in the Natives chart is in the brackets.
1st of the Third (3) : Shows who the sibling is as a person. Interpret the House cusp as their rising sign.
2nd from the Third (4) : Shows finances of the sibling and their abilities to make and sustain money.
3rd from the Third (5) : Reveals details concerning their perception of their own siblings, how well they get along with their own siblings and the relationship between themselves.

6th from the Third (8) : The state of health the natives sibling, and their servants if they have any.
7th from the Third (9) : The spouse of the natives siblings and the state of marriage. Saturn in this House will hold back marriage from happening, similar wth all Retrograde Planets. If Venus is in this position, the natives siblings will be married. Public enemies of the sibling.
8th from the Third (10) : The death of the sibling or dowry.
9th from the Third (11) : The siblings religion and religious attitudes towards God, travel and education.

11th from the Third (1) : Friends or associates of the siblings. The hopes and dreams of the sibling.
12th from the Third (2) : Secret enemies of the sibling. Sorrow and sadness of the sibling.
This should be done for the rest of the Houses.
