Antiquus Astrology
The question of free will and fate has has plagued Astrology since the the infancy of its creation. Is Astrology absolute or can it be changed? The answer to this question can be found in the understanding of what Astrology is. Astrology is nothing more then how each Planetary Sphere controls over the Elements which thus control us as we are made up of these Elements. An ancient astrologer once said that the difference between Man and Animal is that Animals have no conscious control over their Astrology. A ram will always act like a ram because its always under the influence of Aries and this cannot be changed but man has the conscious ability to resist the influence of Astrology. However one who is ignorant of the control of Astrology is no different from an Animal. For being ignorant of this force you cannot consciously resist it just as the animal. Free will is only possessed by those who know Astrology and more importantly, understand their own Astrology and how it influences them.

An Astrologer can control fate and destiny. If one knows their future path and where it directs, can they not use their will to excel at this path knowing its their destiny or fate? Can the native not reject this path and transform the path into a new direction? If one were to foresee death, financial or social ruin, could they not avoid this? By removing himself from the negative stimuli the native can control fate. It is described in many Ethical Astrology articles that sensitive issues such as death, disease, accidents and such should be avoided by the Astrologer; this is nothing bur neglegence and ignorance. A true Astrologer does not ignore these issues but capitalizes on them and makes a point to show the native the damage that can happen. It is the Astrologers duty to make the native aware of any difficulties that he shall see in the natives charts. By the forewarning one can actively prevent impending damage.

For example, if Saturn were to transit through the second house of the native in one year, the native has an oppertunity to reduce any damage that may be sustained by this influence. For Saturn can not only turn riches to rags but it can also teach responcibility (especially if placed with beneficial Planets). If the Astrologer is to see this, it is his duty to tell this to the native but it is also his duty and telling the native the steps in which to avoid or at least lessen the damage. Unwarned and unprepared the native will experience this influence of Saturn passing through their second house and be lead to complete financial ruin (in the worst case scenario). If he is ignorant of Astrology, he has no control over the outcome of the process therefore is condemed to a life of fate. But if the native is warned and properly advised by the skilled Astrologer, the native can prepare for this influence, thus saving his money so that if financial difficulties to present themselves, he will have a healthy nest egg to fall back on therefore only reaping the positive benefits of this position. If the Astrologer is wrong, what is lost? The native will not worry about financial issues because he will have a nest egg for comfort and therefore avoid any damage. With this example it is clear that only the ignorant are controled by fate and the intelligent have free will.

Astrology is condemned by many religions due to the fact that by understanding Gods Will through Astrology. You cannot fully submit yourself to God completely, giving up all control and power to God. With this said its quite clear that Astrology was not condemed due to any superificial reasons but simply the knowledge of it impedes the Will of God which is against the fundamental teachings of all the worlds religions. But it should be argued that understanding the Will of God aids the follower of God to stay on his righteous path.

The wise man may turn away or put off many effects of the stars when as he knoweth their natures, and prepareth himself before they work their effect. He therefore that doth foresee things that shall happen, is accounted wise, for he will either withstand or let the evil that shall happen, or else diminish or make it less, otherwise elections taketh no place.
