1. If the greater part of the significators of health and sickness shall be free from infortune and from every evil affection and notwithstanding others be infortunate and evil aspected there is hope of health. But the significators are aspected to evil application and disagreement between themselves and if the same significators shall be in candent places then it shall be a sign to be fearful of the death of the native.

2. Likewise it is to be observed if it so happens the signification both of life and also of death to be diverse and manifold, then the judgment ought to be preferred by reason of the most significators & the stronger.

3. If Saturn or Jupiter be Lord of the Ascendant and shall be departing from combustion of the Sun, the sick party will recover health. Contrarily if they be in combustion of the Sun the Occidental from him it signifieth death.

4. If Mars be Lord of the Ascendant and be in combustion within 10 degrees of the Sun and oriental he will escape but if he be occidental more than 18 degrees from the Sun he may escape, if within 18 degrees he will die. The more near he is in conjunction to the Sun so much more it is to be doubted.

5. If a weightier Planet gathers the Light of a Lord of the Ascendant and 8th House by a square or opposition aspect, if he be evil of himself or do translate the Light so gathered to an evil Planet, he shows death.

6. If the Lord of the Ascendant and the eighth do behold themselves though with a good aspect, it shows death.

7. If the Lord of the Ascendant be in the fourth or applying to a Planet in the fourth or aspected with him with Square or Opposition it shows death.

8. If the Lord of the Ascendant be under the Earth and Moon joined to a Planet in the sixth, ninth, or twelfth House it signifieth death.

9. Mars being near to the degree ascending (within 4 or 5 degrees) it is a token of death, especially if more evil Planets be in the Ascendant with him or do behold him. Mars be in the Ascendant in any question of the sick party they will rave and be mad in their sickness a little before death.

10. If the Ascendant be aspected by a Square of a Planet in the 4th House it shows death.

11. The infortunes near the Ascendant with 2 or 3 degrees is a very dangerous Sign and the distance of degrees doth manifest the time as if it be a movable Sign it denotes days and hours, if fixed months or weeks.

12. If the Lord of the Ascendant doth behold the Lord of the sixth, eighth or twelfth House unfortunately, as the hour of the perfect aspect the party will die.

13. If the Lord of the Ascendant gives force to the Lord of the 8th House, being a fortune and receiving him, he shall wax sick unto death but will escape because of the reception, unless the Lord of the eighth be an infortunate he will die even though he receive the Lord of the Ascendant.

14. If the Lord of the Ascendant be combust, swift in an angle at the hour of combustion, is the time of death.
